Hopefully the rain will stop soon, Fran. I'll send you some of our heat...we hit 100 yesterday.

morning, ces! it's been hot here too, hence the thunder storms

but a cool-down is promised!

We're under a heat advisory through Saturday. No rain in the forecast before Sunday afternoon.

On the bright side, that means that the grass isn't growing much, so it's another week that i can put off mowing (now that I'm doing it myself for awhile)

I wish we could shave a couple of degrees off the high temps right now and save them for Jan/Feb when we'll need them.

and i'm trying to solve a puzzle ................ why do stains disappear if a wet item is laid on grass?

i was about to give up on a crochet table cloth with tea stains when i ran across that advice with nothing to lose i gave it a try and laid out the wet table cloth on the lawn letting it dry there. sure enough, while not completely gone the stains are a whole lot less noticeable! i figure another round of sunbathing should do it!

I have no idea, but wouldn't be surprised if it was due to the sun rather than the grass. Bright light will fade/bleach colors (and i'm too lazy to google the mechanism this morning ) .
