The difference, is that the others are alloys that have nickel in their molecular bonds, the nickel wire...is nickel. Not bound up. Kinda like brass is made from copper and zinc. It's a third material, not copper nor zinc, but brass.

And how small of an amount is 'small' amount of nickel? Just say'n, for clarity. Maybe you're right...rDNA40 could turn out to be the safest. IDK. Maybe alloys are just as bad. IDK that either.

Basically, I'm wary of this fad stuff. But you go ahead and have fun.

I watched a video of Basilray making a coil with nickel. He made some quick pulses of power to the nickel coil to work out the hot spots on the coil. Would one consider that dry burning?

Technically, yes. But you know what they say--the dose maketh the poison. A few quick pulses with a clean coil is apparently necessary. Dry burning a dirty coil to burn off the gunk is more strain for the coil. But I still dry burn... Not too much--but I do. I like clean coils. So sue me.
