Nah, not this time. Was in the Nylon dept when that was sold off in 2004, managed a last minute switch to the dept I had been in before transferring to Nylon.

The nice thing about a "conglomerate" business like DuPont is that if you want you can most likely transfer to a different part of the business and work on something completely different. So far in 25 years I've worked in Crop Protection (pesticide R&D), Nylon (analytical support) and CR&D (thin films & photovoltaics). DuPont has already divested itself of a number of businesses.

Wow. You're helping make new solar cell tech or whatever (probably 1000's of uses of "thin films and pv")...?

how kind of you, atty. Yeah, just a very bz day and my battery was dead when I went to go out to the gym this afternoon. IDK. got a jump from the neighbor and let it run for a 1/2 hour. I just checked it a few minutes ago and it started right up. I'm going to have the auto parts store check it out. if it's close to dead, i'll invest $150 for a new one.
