As much as I agree with you on the merit, that ad was awful--it just wasn't appropriate for the Super Bowl. I cringed. There's time for public service announcements, but I don't think the SB is that place. Honestly--people eat, drink, cheer and just want to have fun.

I can agree with that. We often use media as an escape mechanism sometimes to FORGET about how nasty the RW is for a while.

Agree with Atty and Birdie. Just not the time or place for a commercial like that. People are trying to have fun - not be brought down. It was a good message, though. Would have behooved Nationwide (?) to air it at a different time. I still think the meme is hysterical!
