morning, mr unlucky bear! :D

You were supposed to say:
At least you got out of the house.
or
At least you had fun.
or
At least you saw some friends.
or
Normal people do not count food, tolls and gas... so you were a winner.

I've dragged you down to my level!!!

... undulates...

bear, you'd be ashamed of my lawn...I didn't get a chance to mow it last night cuz the roofing crew had a bunch of stuff all over it.

+1 for using "undulates"

Around this time of year/season, my judgement on lawns becomes less severe. So I'm sure your lawn is just fine and you'll get around to mowing it when it's convenient for you. Relax!

Bear, it's a bummer that you lost; on the other hand, if you won, you'd probably gamble that money away only to be a loser again.

Yes, I could have kept playing on that machine. It was good to me the last two times (paid for lunch, tolls and gas). But I know when to stop... and I have a set-in-stone loss limit. I do not deviate from it. Just walk away and stroll around the establishment.

Good morning Bear, if you'd won bunches you could have shared ;)

Bwa-ha!

That's some "funny math" right there. You CANNOT factor lunch into the win/lose equation. You can factor it into the net gain/loss for the day...but you'd have to acknowledge that lunch is always a loss, as are most days.

So, since you were UP by 11.08, that just offset your expenses for the day. So you can justifiably say "winner".

TIBS... take note!!! See?!?!

Atty: I do a lot of that "funny math". One example: I judge whether Christmas is a win or loss based on net (Receipts - Spend).

LOL, I'm glad my choice of word was appreciated. I know I should relax, but something tells me I'm gonna get a letter from the city reminding me of the minimum height it should be kept under.

Alrighty, I should get workin on some actual work ;)

Oh... I did not know it was THAT bad.

In that case:

They got the roof done fast then, Mad. The permit for the roof replacement should obviate* the need for the city to write you a letter, unless they somehow made the roof much taller.

*for Bear

why did i have the feeling it was the height of the grass that was in question?
