nice Fran!

I now officially have one more year in my current position, which is about the best i could hope for in in the current climate. It'll get me to my vested date in the retirement system and it gives me a fair amount of time to find a new position (and time to use my excess vacation days).

I've spend a chunk of time over the past several weeks totaling up my teaching time and getting salary support for that teaching and for research collaborations. I'm up to 60-70% coverage of my salary - which is the percentage of my salary I'll get paid over the coming year, unless i find some additional support. I should be able to get up to at least 80%. While a 20% salary cut is a still a bit sucky, it beats no salary at all.
