And a question about my istick. It won't let me lower the watts below 6. Is there a reason for that?

Just set it to the lowest voltage, 3.1v or so, which equals 4.2 real volts. It should be enough for your dual coil atty. You can always increase the voltage if you need more oomph.

I was actually worried it would be too much.

Nope. That's just about right. I have a 1.5Ω coil in my Emow mega and it works just fine on the iStick. Remember you're dealing with two 3Ω coils, not one 1.5Ω coil.

I wouldn't put any single coil lower that 3Ω or so on the iStick--so don't even try. It will burn!

Hehehehe--all those sub tanks sound like that in his videos. For some reason.

Don't know why, don't care. Not going there.

I'm a die-hard low wattage vaper. So sue me.

This too shall pass. This being the sub-ohm, 200 watt vaping craze.

I'm a low wattage/voltage gal myself and intend to stay there. It has served me well for almost 6 years, and I'm still vaping happily.

I hope you're right about 'this too shall pass' cause I find sometimes that it grates on my own last nerve to see some of the stuff that is going on.

I posted that mod in the hopes that I could possibly build a higher ohm coil and have it work properly, but I doubt that.

Hey, you're talking to a person who came very, very close (ask Tibs;)) to getting a Delta and a Subtank, also hoping that I would just make a higher-ohm coil or that Kanger and/or Joyetech will offer higher resistance coils. But the more I read and talk to real users, the more convinced I become that those tanks are really designed to perform at high wattages. Yes, we could use higher ohms, but it wouldn't make much sense in term of performance--we would be going against the intended use (and design). So what's the point?

I'm sure that sooner or later there will be a lower watt version of those tanks--or OCC coils that will work in existing kanger tanks, for example. I got excited about the Subtank because the early BPDC coils that came with it were supposed to be compatible with other tanks. But Kanger redesigned them, and now the OCC coils only work in the Sub.

But it's only a matter of time--IMHO. I hope!

Exactly!!!

I came close to a Delta myself, and followed my gut reaction and knew that something else will come down the line.....hopefully sooner than later.
