But you have to put up with more stuff too....like people.
There is "finally" natural gas out by me now. A lot less expensive. Cable too. No sewers though. Still lots of electrical outages due to trees down or whatever.
In your case, it might be hard for DH to run his business too close to town...IDK. But nat gas may be low enough to offset the cost of wood and fuel oil.
Overall, I liked it most with it being more rural here, less "crowds". Don't miss propane bills though. What a rip.
