So it might not be the specific place that she it her head, Atty. Not remembering a single event doesn't signify any permanent damage to any given part of her brain (The parts of the brain that actually make and store memories are in the middle of the brain) .

It could be that there was enough overall sloshing at the time that the memory just didn't get encoded. If the memory wasn't made, it's not possible for her to remember it.

P.S. no fair, you edited and added the answer (middle of the brain). ;) :) Clever girl........

For the record, the first one went like:

So never mind. ;)

(I think that phrase is kind of a joke for you even when not intended, yes?)

Hey CES....
I know as a generalization that concussion can cause memory loss...but (forgive me for asking but) does it matter what area is "sloshed"? Like, you'd say:

"Oh, yeah, she got a back-of-the-head bump, probably with a front of the brain, <whatever that term was> contra-whatever and so it impacts the ____ area that does the short-term to long-term memory formation or storage or whatever!"

I mean, I assume it must be either the back of your brain or front that does that, given that she doesn't remember and she hit the back of her head on the cement. (Sorry, IDK if this type of stuff is even what you do...so not fair of me)

The part that makes memories is in the middle of the brain, so it was likely the overall sloshing that caused her inability to remember the event.

If she hit the back of her head she might have had transient vision problems. It's possibly that she had this briefly and it has cleared.

A really hard, damaging re-bounce off the front could result in issues with judgement or impulse control. IMO, this is highly unlikely from what you described.

It's OK CES. If I'd ask better questions, like "Where is the part of the brain that makes memories located?" you wouldn't have to solve a puzzle just to give an answer.

;) :p

that turns out to be a different answer anyway. the places where they're made aren't the same as where they're stored.... :p

ok, really getting out of here now

not a single one showed her face at the door!

all are still curled up in their favorite sleeping spots ;)

My friend accidentally let my cat out last night. When he gets out, he can stay gone for hours or days, which makes for a very unhappy Lost. He came back pretty darn quickly last night. Then he curled up in bed with me and didn't move all night. :)
