No, really. The animals, all of them, deserve respect for their ability to sustain
THEMSELVES (OK, with a little help re: food bowls and water and peanuts). The
ones I have are not destructive and are really fun to just watch. Can that be
said for the average human being? Kind of thinking "no".
I love squirrels. I love most animals.

... and here is "Stretch" with his "girlfriend" before the prom posing in front of our gazebo early last Spring ('14):

Window directly above her head is the one being replaced on Thursday. Since it was going
to be a "rough install" anyway, it's being widened by 4". What the hell, it's only $$$.

... (re)seeding here is not recommended till the end of september! ...

If I overseed in the Fall, the new grass would just all be raked up during the mega leaf-drop.
That's why I do it in the Spring. Gives it time to become established and hold its ground
when I go out to rake (and rake, and rake and rake again). YMMV.

Believe it or not, during all the posts today, the tub and shower received attention.

That ring around the tub was getting so thick, you could set a drink down on it.

But I did harvest the 'shrooms for dinner tonight.

Did you know that Mr. Clean "Magic Erasers" [tm] actually SCREAM when they know
end-of-life is near? I saw that box try to make an escape from the closet.

Poor girl... I only hope she KNEW she was his "hag". Unfair to lead anybody on like that.
These days, I think most people "know" even though it may not be said.

Well, she's pretty young... and probably an ingenue. Hope springs eternal.
When I was that age, I was a "hag" a couple of times, but things were very different then. I think there's more of an awareness about it these days, although some kids may not admit it to themselves or others.

As long as she's not doing a disservice to herself and knows. I was on the other side a couple
of times long long ago and I realize now it was unfair to the gals involved because they did
NOT know.

If she doesn't know now, one day she'll probably look back and think to herself "how did I not see that?". I know I did. My poor sister and I were probably two of the biggest "hags" in high school, but unwittingly so.

reseeding or seeding - now is not the time ;)

... unless you are prepared and willing to give it DAILY attention through germination
and then some more. It's still "late Spring" up here and can be pulled off. It's not as hot
as you have "down there". I put down stuff last week, mixed with topsoil and peat, and
it's looking good, germinating. The rain really does make a difference. I'm certain that
natural watering is worlds better than stuff from a hose.

You will read me posting that after July 4th. It seems to be my turning point.
Summer is the season of Satan. I have got to make sure I get into to heaven. The heat in... well, that other place would kill me. :D

Hus and I cannot go any further north to escape what-is-to-come. We could go
Southwest to avoid the humidity, which just sucks any joy out of the Summer
up here. Not sure where YOU are, but there are people who have the humidity
worse than we do. I don't know how they stand it. I just wilt.

Ugh. I'm in VA and it is humid in the summers. Today is like a freakin sauna outside. Shoot me now.
