UGH! Beyond frustrated! I just spent the better part of an hour and a half trying to install a new light fixture in my kitchen. Needless to say, it was not successful!

Yes, it should have been a 15 minute job...
The screws aren't lining up correctly, and there's so much padding (insulation?) that the screws are barely long enough to reach the holes they're supposed to go in. It's just hanging from the wires above my sink at the moment.

I'm not sure of it and I'm too damn frustrated to try any further today. I might give it a go again tomorrow. Also, DD's boyfriend said he would ask his dad if he could come give me a hand. I just put up a new light fixture in my kitchen a few weeks ago, which was a little more complicated. I thought this one would be easy peasy. Grrrrrrrr!

This is the one I installed a few weeks ago. You can see the ring where the previous one was, which was flush with the wall.

This is the one I was replacing today. I was trying to replace with basically the same thing, only a different metal; an oil rubbed bronze to match the new pendant light from the other picture. You would think that would have been easy enough, right?
