Fran, we have gray skies here and some crazy rain came through last night. Looks like tomorrow is gong to brighten up.
Taking my baby girl to the airport later today, to begin her adventure to Italy. I am such a nervous wreck. For all intents and purposes, she is going alone and I don't like it one bit. She is way too fearless for my liking.

Still no phone.
Considering dropping land line. I do have a TracPhone flip-phone that stays in the car
for emergencies (but have been using it the last FIVE days). Not-legally-"HUS"bear
upgraded his TracPhone flip to a Samsung "smart"phone and I may do the same... get
used to it... then drop landline.
Unacceptable repair time.
I tried bullting the customer service telling them the 93 year-old woman next
door is also without phone service... and she depends on "LifeLine" in case of a fall...
and I hope nothing happens and the family sues for phone company negligence. They
said SHE must call and register a problem report and it would be escalated. I asked how
she was supposed to call when her phone is out. They just parroted their own response.
(Truth is, she's been in rehab for over a month... not home.) It was worth a shot.

He's thinking tie rod(s), but I'm not sure why.
Anything more than fluid or relay will require a tow. Did I say "sigh"???

Thank you! He has AAA (annual birthday gift to him), so tow will be free. The problem
happened suddenly (like while sitting overnight) as he was backing out of his spot. Glad
it didn't happen while he was out on the road.
Annnnnnnd... I need to get moving.

I spent 2 years with phone quality problems. That's why I dumped the land-line. 5 days. Pfffft! Although to be fair...it was just static sometimes in my case, not the "phone out" thing. Still, you'll wake up eventually. Nobody is replacing old POTS lines, except with new tech (like fiber)..and new services.

@ Bear...even if it's out of fluid....the power steering pump could have blown it's bearings/seal. So if you put more in, it will just leak out. So you'd have to monitor it. If that's it.

Thanks, Fran. She doesn't mind the brace at all, except on her back where she gets itchy, but she rolls over and rubs it on the blanket and is good to go!
