atty - the way i understand it lost atm works for one temp company. that company lost the contract providing employees where lost is working. the company that got the contract as of july asked lost to stay on.
what puzzles me is why lost has not been offered a permanent job at the place she currently works - but lots of employers now use agencies to provide a good part of their work force indefinitely

Oh buggers! Forgot to share my good news! My company did not get the contract for our current client, so I did not know whether or not I was going to be employed after July. I got a call today from the new company asking me if I was interested in joining them in my current position. Not only do I feel like I have a little more job security now, but the new company is a much bigger, well known and established company than the one I currently work for, which I think may also turn out to be a plus!

Yes, I visit that one also.......don't know what it is about my sudden interest in these fabulous creatures.
There's one here in NE Florida with the babies almost ready for branching! My man tells me he thinks he may have seen that particular nest South of us, and we plan to take a ride to see it. Only general locations are disclosed.
The stats on one of the nests is weight: 1 ton; 8' x 6' and almost 12' deep! Unbelievable.

Another flyby...
I woved not to watch any more nests--we had a very unhappy outcome two years ago with our own (yearly) hummingbird nest... Broke my heart (and my kids' hearts, too).

yup - best not to watch too closely. i hate when i realize a nest is empty but not because the fledglings flew away ................
