I just try to keep the fluff, unicorns, glitter, rainbows and cotton candy to a minimum. (The list grows, so you see.)

And, hey... I stayed away (well, not posting) for almost 5 months. It could have gone on longer, but the now-locked thread was my opportunity and I took it. Another extended self-imposed hiatus could happen at any time, especially during the good weather. But as long as I stay on topic , I'll probably be here again for at least a while.

We've seen his pic, he's not Bruce. Although I wanted to ask Bear if he though that Bruce's first name was any form of coincidence or proof of divine irony, but I didn't want to appear crass or phobic, so I let it go.

I see that you pull "on-topic" admonishment in another area of the forum, but there is no set topic in Snails as far as I have known for however long I've been here. I suppose it is legit where there is a thread title and assumed topic of discussion.

I'd typed up a post and was looking for an image to go with it, and decided not to bother.

at least today is the last extra long Monday for awhile. But it is extra, extra long. The final exam is from 7pm to 9pm. It shouldn't take anyone the entire time though. And of course i've got students asking questions about assignments and asking to meet with me today.....
