@ atty - how can i curtal MBs received?

i allow flash only after being asked, i turned off automatic page refresh and still my usage has crept up to double over the past 6 months. since i got an unlimited account that's not the problem but receiving all that data is slowing down my connection even more

You have to figure out WHY it's happening! Hard to say.

It sure could be that there's just more data...like more pics than before. Pics are big data hogs compared to text. You could turn off auto-pic display. But you probably won't like the results.

Otherwise, the more graphics, the more data.

Now, if there's another cause, IDK what to tell you unless you find out what it is. Do they have any useful analytical data for you to give you an idea? Lemme see if I can find a monitoring tool/add-in. Will take a bit.

one puzzling thing though - the nbc news page keeps refreshing itself no idea why that ff turn off is not working there ............
