So... latest on the contractor deposit refund saga...

... he sends a note FOUR TIMES that includes an image of the check (dated yesterday):

And in his note he says:

So... Tibs... Do you think he meant he does not partake in bad business PRACTICES,
or do you think he is calling ME "bad business"??? Is this another case of "benefit of
the doubt"? (Remember how that worked out last time.)

Regardless, after I receive the check and deposit it, I will be crafting a "social media"
recount of the entire situation and posting it in every review site that has a section for
that contractor.

What a wack-job that guys is.

well, bear - i have no idea ;) how much of your homework did you do on this guy before you handed over your deposit?

I did minimal "homework" after setting a date for him to come and scope out the work.
The combination of "things" that need to be done for one of the tasks leaves very few
local contractors who (say) they can/will take it on. Downspout, run-out UNDER asphalt
driveway, cutting of asphalt, re-paving with HOT asphalt (not cold patch), only a 3'x3'
area, so small-scale asphalt work. I really AM limited to who I can choose from.

... maybe the guy feels people should wait indefinitely for him because hardly anybody else provides that service? ...

That's good for business!!! See how well it worked out for him? He also does a lot
of other things and, if his work on THAT project (along with the deck refinishing
and staining) was good, I had three other things in mind for him to do. So, yeah...
