It turned out well for the most part. A slight breeze kicked in and we stayed under the
large cantilever umbrella, but went inside for dessert.

Dad can't walk well and a trip to the bathroom for him turned a bit ugly. Indoors, two
steps to the upper level (granted, there is no handrail) and he fell backward. I was right
behind him and caught him from crashing to the floor, but Hus had to help in getting him
steadied. :: sigh ::

I do not want to install a 2-foot handrail, so will need to think of a temporary alternative
for other visits. Maybe just Hus and I working in tandem can help him up the two steps.

Glad you were there to catch him, Bear. Scary.

(the like was for the slight breeze, rather than for the almost fall)

Don't 'drat' my Monday Tibs! ;)

Good morning snails. Nasty storms predicted for later today.
GF's pool is mostly-open. Pump problems. Grrr. Maybe have time to get to it this a.m. before the storms.
Pool opening was late this year due to dog-surgery and stitches. Dog swims like a fish...can't hardly keep her out of the pool. Don't want any accidents. So we just waited.

Good morning, Atty. Hope the storms aren't bad. Waiting to open the pool sounds like it was a good idea. Is GF's dog allowed to swim now? could be really good PT.

G'mornin, snails!

Dern mosquito somehow managed to bite me on the way to work. I think it hitched a ride in my car. :sneaky:

I know that I do my best to get rid of all standing water around my home, but my neighbor doesn't seem to understand the concept. :facepalm:

She goes back to vet today to have stitches removed. Laundry list of questions...including that one. She's favoring one leg a bit still. But walking on her own. We'll go in with her the first time and make sure she doesn't drown if her back legs are not up to the task <--- intent...I don't live there so...
They'll have to take her out on a leash for a while if the vet says "no, let the stitches heal up"
