I just read back and Atty's GF's dog had torn ligaments in both knees. I think he said she was around 6 years old. My Puggers acts that age, but she turns 13 on July 5. I hope she does as well as GF's dog.

Gonna go spend some quality time with my baby. She just got her meds and, hopefully, will sleep well tonight.

Thanks everyone, I truly appreciate your concern. She's a tough little girl, so I am very hopeful.

Have a great night....

i type too slow ;)

night, kat! and get-well hugs for you and baby!

chin up, kat! it's nobody's fault - accidents happen. is it a complete tear? this article makes some good points and if you are concerned because of her age you might want to ask about alternative treatments if it it's a partial tear only. but atty's stepdog had both legs done and is doing well - baby will be fine!

“A complete cranial cruciate ligament tear is always a surgical case,” says Stacey Hershman, DVM, of Hastings-on-Hudson, New York, “since otherwise the knee cannot function as a hinge joint.” Advocates of conservative management recommend that whenever the tear is partial, nonsurgical techniques be given an eight-week try. If symptoms improve during that time, they say, the odds favor nonsurgical recovery. If symptoms don’t improve, conservative management techniques can be used as pre- and post-operative conditioning and therapy.
