NO.
You claimed "Start the DRIVEWAY".
And the driveway work happens in ONE day.
They roll the equipment in, do the work, and are gone that same day. As they can fit the small piece work into their schedule. Right?

Tell me bear, are they coming back tomorrow? (sure, they may need to do another 'seal coat' or something later. May be common for asphalt, IDK)

Show me "start the driveway" in the context of the bet. Link, please. Thank you.

Maybe at AttyPop Inc.

Maybe at AttyPop Inc.

The crack filling and sealcoating are separate from the excavation/pipe/paving and will be
done in the next couple of weeks. One does not sealcoat fresh asphalt, BTW. One-year
wait.

Oh... and "Bear"... not "bear". I am a proper noun.

Ha! I knew you were having fun and wouldn't let it go. :D

Tricky Bear! I caught that. Let me fix that for you.

Excavation/Pipe sub-project #1 (not part of the bet)
Paving...(the item bet on) is sub-project #2

I already excluded crack-filling seal-coating as a "later thing". Doesn't count. We bet on when the paving would happen. The paving happened in ONE day. Didn't it? You never answered if they are coming back tomorrow to do more paving. Why? BECAUSE IT IS DONE IN ONE DAY! Ha! 4x8 patch only takes one day to pave...start to finish.

YOU already quoted you. Why do I have to go quote you again. See your post, [HASHTAG]#19932[/HASHTAG]

This was the original post.
Maybe I'll start a pool here in Snails... will they - or will they NOT - be here tomorrow
or Friday to start the driveway work?

I'm thinking about calling to find out if we're still "on" as mentioned LAST week (and
the week before... and I think, the week before that).

I bet a penny that they wouldn't and will reschedule.

AFTER I BET, you threw a "ringer" into it:
"You're on for tomorrow."

Morning?

"Does not mention a time for arrival."

What I envision: The asphalt tear-out (4' x 8') will happen, the new drain pipe and
fittings will be put in, but the new hot asphalt will not. The 4' x 8' area will remain
open (gravelly) until God knows when.

I should take a few pre-pics.
Although you didn't clarify if that counted in the bet or not. I say NOT, as it was "added extra information post-bet". My assumption in betting was that you wouldn't have a new driveway laid by Friday (sans later sealing of course). A fair assumption given the first post above without added-info about drainage sub-project.

And why do I say "new driveway laid by Friday?" Because it only takes ONE DAY (really less) to do a 4x8 patch. They'll only make one "lay asphalt trip".
