Well, here's the Piper report. She is now down to one good leg. Her back legs are weaker, and her right front has possible ligament damage, probably due to the way she has been balancing herself when she walks.

She has to go back on antibiotic for ........, probably for a month, at least. She was on special kidney food, which is now changed to a bland, but healthy dry food, as keeping her comfortable is more important. Marsha has to make a schedule of all her meds. She was such a sweet baby through it all. Got a long ride in the car, cause we got the new dog food and prescriptions at 2 different places. Whew....We are all pooped (pun intended). The idea is to keep her as comfortable as possible for as LONG as possible. She is in good health, otherwise....
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. They are greatly appreciated. We are just taking things a day at a time and enjoying what ever time we have left and the vet said she could give us NO answers there, but that Piper appeared happy and alert and that was good. What her weakness does to her cannot be predicted. So, we will just shower her with love and throw that tennis ball to her while she lays down. (she loves that). Not that we don't shower them with love all the time, but you all know what I mean.
Nighty night, my Dear Friends, thank you all SO very much....
