Look at how upset Fran is and CES. And I've been told to "piss off". What else can I do, Tib?
Yeah. Right.
'Cuz it's all about "poor Fan and CES"! Fran and CES can take care of themselves with me. They know me.

When will you ever be honest and direct and truthful and non-manipulative? Quit using other peoples emotions as personal attacks and ammo for your own needs. It's manipulative and abusive.

And BTW, it was intended as much for Bear as you. Maybe more for Bear right now. And it was direct. And honest. It wasn't nice. But it wasn't deceptive nor did it "use others" or try to manipulate all reader's opinions.

OMG.
She had the most beautiful voice... one of the all time greats...and to over-dub goats on top...funny, but so bad. I couldn't play the whole thing.

I miss her every time I hear that song. So tragic, her DD too.

Agree !
The first time I heard this, I was like Nooooo !
Such a terrible loss !

true but our dale must be mortified :(

nor did it "use others"

but ......... if we accept that some people do indeed base their decisions on how it affects others and perceive remarks different from what we do then we'd have a different outcome ;)

People constantly make attributions regarding the cause of their own and others’ behaviors; however, attributions do not always accurately mirror reality. Rather than operating as objective perceivers, people are prone to perceptual errors that lead to biased interpretations of their social world.

so, let's go back where this all started - we had atty's tongue-in-cheek post concerning bear's mutant tree - we had bear's various replies one of which contained a certain 'pit' dig. kat saw nothing wrong with that and said so. but does that really translate into an attack? or was it only perceived as such by atty because of stuff that happened in the 'outside'?

drat! drat! drat! i just flushed my marimo ball down the toilet because my mind was elsewhere :?:

classy, so far we have always managed to work things out in here sooner or later without being mean or demeaning. give us a chance

Without being ' in person face to face ' conversation, often it's difficult to interpret how others are expressing themselves at the moment. Interpretation can be perceived in as many ways as there are individuals. Everyone has their own unique way. And that is a good thing.

Smileys don't have to be ' cutesy ' but they help get the feeling of what one is trying to say and how they are trying to express it. Having a baseline of the emotion of the conversation is quite helpful to others without being harmful

No one actually wants to be hurtful to anyone else, we all know that
