believe me, they know better - won't a single soul dare to put his/her life on the line and get bear out of 'hold' :D

Rant only accomplished a cathartic release, but I did keep her on the
line for just over 25 minutes. See, during the menu choices, I was
requested to enter zip code, SS number AND phone number... which
I did. Doesn't she ask those SAME things again!!!??? I told her I
entered them during the pre-call... and I am not one to repeat myself.

So, most of the call was spent waiting for her to dig into the system
to retrieve already-entered info. I was not going to give it to her again.

    -----

Garage side and back yard raked - for the third time - but NOTHING
BAGGED. Anybody care to hazard a guess where they all went??? :D

    What?!?!

Would YOU cheerfully give that info yet again? Why would you do that?

I did not care how long it took. I had the time.
it is true, there's no reason to do that crap again just cuz they too lazy to have the system set up right in front of them. I applaud you Bear

You do know that labels us as being "non-inclusive", "bigoted" and "racist", right?

But I'm glad you have the stones to say what you think. :: applause :: to you.

Actually, I want to hear a voice, not a recording, on the other end of the phone who is supposedly customer service and need an inquiry answered right away..........I don't really care what people *think* I am, I know who I am.

    It's a new system.
They have higher priority stuff to fix. So in the meantime, they just repeat the questions...
Eventually, once they fix the more important stuff, they'll get to item [HASHTAG]#2941[/HASHTAG], which is to update the "flow through" information from the pre-existing phone system, to flow into the new heath-system...

I Suppose, they can go out, to a separate system (phone whatever), get the info, and write it down on paper, then go back to the new system and enter it. And then confirm ID.

Waste of tax dollars due to "attitude". But, people are like that.
So they have to hire more employees to cover for "attitude people".

No system of any complexity is perfect from the get go. Particularly this ACA stuff. And it's the STATE system he's complaining about, so it's his state tax dollars.

    C'est la vie

Which kind of goes back to my post. "Press 1 for English" is the way it starts. The
system did not say "Welcome to the New York State of Health hotline"... it just barked
the order to "Press 1 for English". I had no idea if I even had the right number... and
then they expected SS# info on this mystery-to-me phone menu.

Tax $$$ at work oh-so-appropriately, and sadly, as expected... right?

So, anyway... in 2013, we could enroll (LOL!!!... I mean TRY TO enroll) on October 1st.

In 2014, we could enroll/renew on November 1st.

This year, we have to wait until November 16th to enroll/renew.

    Progress!!!

What can people do now? Well, new-to-ACA (in NY at least) people can play with the
system and get all their information in-order to enroll on the 16th. That's all. Folks
who are already in the system can NOT go in and play because any changes/experiments
will trigger a change to current 2015 settings. There is no sandbox mode for current
enrollees. Which bites the Big Red One.

    ETA:
It is NOT a NEW SYSTEM. It has been in-place since 2013. Duh. When does something
    STOP being "new"???

I go through this kind of thing with most companies. It's nothing new. ;)
