that's what they call it! and it's very good AND messy!!!!!!!!!!!! the birds love it

i break it up, take out all the individual kernels and put it in their dishes

What part of that does one eat? The seed? I've never really understood that

it's not a seed per se, dale - the kernels are extremely juicy and taste great

Yeah, the seeds are edible. The red stuff.

They juice them too. Expensive, but easy. Often mixed with other juices due to expense. See label.

The white stuff floats and seeds sink (or maybe other way around), so you can separate it out easily in water. Birds may not care about some of the pith.
