Comcast was supposed to ship me a new modem/gateway/telephone thing. They didn't. So I had to call them and make sure some other box wasn't still on the truck as the modem setup is step #1 in the instructions.
Well, they didn't ship a new one. The "agent" said I wasn't being charged for one, so they must not have shipped one. So OK, I guess I use the "old" one. Meh. I only said "go ahead and upgrade it", because they offered and it's supposed to be better. I can go upgrade it later if I wish.
They cancelled the whole X1 upgrade TWICE before without explanation. I think I'm marked as "don't send him stuff"... Something is FUBAR about it all. Smells.
But, at least I now have "X1 Operating System" (AKA new fancy cable box). It has some nice features, like if you miss the start of something, you can back up and view it from the start (for stuff they "have" saved). That's without the DVR feature even.
So it's all activated 'n stuff. Voice remote is cool.
