Hubs has 5 driveways he plows here on the hill. When it stops snowing he'll be out plowing those for the first time this winter. Doesn't bring in a lot of cash but work has been very slow so the plow money will be much welcome

Tibs...do you warm up the car first by starting it 5 min earlier and putting the heater on (garage door open of course)? You're probably not used to thinking about that in your neck of the woods... I forget even up here, or just tough it out. But poor Sparks...

Good morning, Snails......another emergency. Piper had ........ again, only this time, it got really bloody, to the point that's all she was doing. It was everywhere. We took her to the Emergency Vet, they admitted her with IVs for hydration, are running some tests and putting her on meds. Could be the meds for pain have caused this. Won't know more until later. This went on all night and we took her around 5:30 this morning. The whole ordeal sucked. I fell apart at the ER cause we were just there 3 weeks ago with my baby. I guess I had like a panic attack, but not a full one. Just got really sick and heart racing.

Anyways, the vet seemed fairly optimistic, but I've been down that road recently and it didn't go well. So, I will just wait and see. And I'm NOT tired....

Good luck to Piper Katmar. Has she had any raw meat lately? Are they testing for stuff like infection? Can you move her to the "main" vet? ($$$$)

Good news! We're on a warming trend. Should be at or just above freezing by Sunday. Most of the snow is just lake effect "banding" stuff.

No raw meat. Testing for infections, tumors, etc......could move her to the main vet, but this place has all the latest equipment, state of the art stuff, so, keeping her there and going to live on poverty row!
