Early night again. Neighbor is stopping by. Her son just left for the Marines today. She's happy for him, but sad for her. She also has been fighting Hodgkin's Lymphoma for the past 3 years. Been one of the unlucky ones in that it is very aggressive. Already had stem cell and it came back, she has stopped treatment, as she is in remission, but they wanted to do another stem cell. insurance won't cover it, so she said to just keep scanning her every 3 mos., then treat with chemo until it stops working. She's only 40 and has 2 younger kids. And a smile that stretches around the world.
Boy, am I ever grateful for what I DO have.....Goodnight all....pleasant dreams and a better tomorrow...![]()
Scallops and friesand what did dh cook?
May be nature but it's still sad to see
Mother squirrel witnessed two of her babies killed by next door cat. She was
going nuts, trying to save the one in the cat's mouth. Hus yelled at the cat
and got it to let go, but too late. The guy comes out wondering why the yelling
and we tell him. Laughing: "that's nature" as the mother squirrel was still
yelling and chattering. I said, "Yeah, nature. Like your wife would be screaming
if two of YOUR kids were killed in front of her. That's nature, I guess!"
