@SilverBear, yes, it's called prepopix, I think. She has done the suprep before and survived, but said the taste was horrid. This other stuff tastes somewhat like Tang, she said.

I will make note of that for next time. My doc says "every 5 years" because my
Dad had *ONE* polyp decades ago. ONE. Completely my fault for giving such
horrid and treacherous details. Should have kept my mouth SHUT for a change.

I had one done about 12 years ago and had several polyps, all the very benign kind. Was told to come back in 10 years. I'm a little late....

Yep... and I'm 2 months late for the "annual physical". NOTHING IS BOTHERING ME.

I learned a lesson... do not volunteer ANY little ache or pain to *MY* doctor
because you will walk out with a FISTFUL of referrals to specialists. "I feel
fine" is now my mantra. (And, I do feel fine.) When I do *NOT* feel fine,
    I will make an appointment.

Geez, sounds just like MY PCP. If I mention any little thing, he gives me a script for a test. LOVES annual physicals...orders EVERYTHING. I'm with you, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. A checkup every now and then is fine, but I was reading that yearly physicals are not necessary.

My insurance covers annual wellness physicals "in full". What I found out
is ANYTHING beyond bare hands-on tests (eg: EKG) is a co-pay extra.
No big deal, really, but there were 3 such add-ons last time and I do know
co-pays have gone up. STILL no big $ deal, but I see it as a racket. Very
analogous to buying a car... here's the car, but you're going to pay for
each and every bolt and nut.

But... I should do it if only to get the influenza vaccination while there.

And  to get a for-sure referral for what will now be an annual
ultrasound... last year's was to get a baseline on a SUSPECT "athoracic aortic
aneurysm". But you know what... Hus *ALSO* had to have HIS "baseline"
ultrasound for the SAME thing last year as well. That just SCREAMS "latest
    trendy affliction" to me.

It's too bad we can't scan that doc's referral records to see how many OTHER
people suddenly required that same ultrasound last year. I do NOT believe it's
just coincidence/necessary. Nope. I may have been born at night, but it was
    not LAST night.

MY GP let me know that you can send in a sample (postage-paid special envelope) for testing and if it's fine then you can skip the 'scope.

Imagine having THAT job... opening a never-ending river of THOSE samples at
the receiving end!!! And you KNOW not everybody will follow instructions
and/or be neat about it!!! Your birthday card to granny ends up pressed right up
against it through the post office!!!   Hope the machine rollers don't
squish it TOO tightly!!! x 10 !!!

    G'mornin, snails!

As I suspected in the beginning, my little girl is the one I'll have to keep my eye on the most. This morning was the first time I got to ask either one of them, "How the $&#* did you get in there?!?!"

Progress remains slow. This weekend, I plan on opening up my hallway and possibly my bedroom to them.
