I am NOT "hiding" behind @classwife.
She asked us as nicely as possible, and I am honouring her request. WHAT is so HARD to
understand about that?
And why you want to involve the rest of the group in this is a mystery.

There have been no predecessors re: the topic.
She distinctly said we're allowed to work it out.
I also said I'd explain why it was asked to be public.
I've not asked to involve anyone else, only that it be public-viewable.

That, by default, involves EVERYBODY here. I am only guessing they are not interested.
While Classwife is a mod and may have given permission (without actually thinking about
possible repercussions) to work it out, I do not believe she actually speaks for individuals
and their preferences.

I was (probably) going to make a public apology. But, I can't do that in a private email.
Neither can I do that without some checks and cross-checks.
I think that e-mails were sent out. I think instigating, inflaming and goading happened. And I got the harm of it.
I think that Bear was making a reference to the OUTSIDE! when he made that post. And I think he was encouraged to "bring it here".
However, I've been told that that isn't true. That nobody is sending e-mails. And that nobody is mid-stating things with passive-aggressive posts.
My one hope, was to ask my friend Bear, publicly, so I could either work in an apology or confirm my suspicions.
I see that he won't even grant me the opportunity to do that. Now it's games and polls.

I've been called a liar. I've not lied that I know of. People have demonstrably distorted what I said. They lied. I can list several with quotes. But why bother? These aren't vague references or ambiguities. They are out and out lies.
I've not intentionally lied about anyone. I have been wrong on occasion. And admitted it too and redacted posts. Only to be accused of never admitting it. Never redacting. ????
It's clear you won't let me work it out here publicly among friends. It should have been simple to tell if "it's me, or not" just from Bear's post and my response. But he won't cooperate. Should have taken 5 minutes. I though I'd have earned enough cred here to be allowed to do that. It wasn't about getting anyone in trouble. I said I have some decisions to make. I've been driven out of the OUTSIDE and the snails. Sure, I could stay and post. But if Bear really wasn't making any references to the OUTSIDE! Stuff, and if Katmar just happened to 'like' that post, all out of the blue, well, that means that the people in the OUTSIDE are correct and I "brought it here" and it wasn't Bear that did it...encouraged or not. So that means it was my imagination. Only Bear knows for sure, before God, what his intent was.
If that's true, if it was my imagination, it means I can't trust my own posts. I really try not to lie or distort. I honestly didn't think I got that one wrong. And I was really upset that that stuff came here at all, which is why I reacted as I did. But if I'm wrong, well.....that means the problem is me.
I'll never know, because I can't discuss it. I wanted it discussed openly because the accusation was made openly and because people deserved the apology to be open too. I don't tolerate passive-aggressive and manipulative people well. I hope I'm not being that. I'm not trying to manipulate you, nor tell you what to think. I'm simply explaining why I asked what I did. It was supposed to be a self-check. I needed another person for that, as the brain cannot check itself very well. I was counting on my friend Bear to help. He's a snail, and one that I could trust. I figured he'd be honest with me and I could assess from there.

You seem to think "It's me". OK. I respect that, but I'm not doing a poll. I need to know if he was making an OUTSIDE reference or not when he posted that Pit-Atty thing and feigned offense when I clearly said the tree could be huge.

Each and EVERY one of us has SOMETHING we simply are unable to find funny - at all.
Regardless of how it is framed. I can count my "Achilles Heel"s on one hand and have
one or two fingers left over. (OK, maybe just one leftover finger.) GUESS what ONE
of those is.
All I want to know is:
A) Atty "brought it here".
B) Bear "brought it here".
And it's OK either way. But if it's B, I don't have to give the same apology as I do if it's A. So I need an answer, particularly since other people that are not you, seem to think they have the answer.
