I blame Katya. ;) :D

She said she googled it and didn't find anything, so I started with updating display drivers. But really, it's a Chrome problem.
Maybe she was just "ahead of the game" as usual, so there wasn't much on the web back when she tried it.... :)

How to Show the Computer Icon on the Desktop in Windows 7

    1. Right-click the Desktop and then click Personalize from the menu that appears.

    2. When the Personalization Control Panel window appears, click the Change desktop icons link on the left pane.

The Desktop Icon Settings dialog box will open. The Desktop Icon Settings dialog box has only one tab, Desktop Icons.

In the Desktop Icons section you will find a list of icons that are available for the Desktop.

Most if not all of the icons should be unchecked, meaning that they are not displayed on the Windows Desktop. What we are doing here is checking the Computer icon so that it appears on the Desktop.

Note: If you find other icons on the list that you would like to see on the Desktop feel free to add them, it's your computer after all.

    3. Click to add a check to Computer and click OK to save the changes and to close the dialog box.

When you return to the Desktop you will find the handy Computer icon in its place.

Old guy across the road is the source of my aggravating company but I don't wish him any harm. He had a mild stoke 2 weeks ago and a blockage in his brain was found. They took him out on a stretcher. Can't be good.
    :(
    Wishing old-PITA a healthy recovery.
    Doesn't sound good. Brain-cell death... :(
Prolly all depends on degree and location and timing and whatever.....(CES knows). But basically, not good.

I wanna go as quickly as my Brother did. One second you're there, next second ...heart attack in his case...you're not.
