I keep mine in the freezer,so far so goodThe other thing I need to research is long-term storage, and what happens once a gallon is opened. I assume VG is more volatile, but that's just a hunch.

... just little odds and ends in RW, in rapid succession, that seem to add up ...

Maybe I'll treat MYSELF to a propane tank refill. Because I'm worth it.

Don't they do exchange programs in your area?OK...
"Propane tanks do expire. Federal law requires re-certification after 12 years from the original manufacture date.
A coded date is stamped into the carrying handle of the tank. The tank expires at the end of the month of the
date stamped. They will refuse to re-fill an expired tank."
The one Country Max refused - and the "usual place" refilled - says 03 - 16E.
Wonder if those 3 extra months will mean an explosion in the garage overnight?
I'll keep it away from the free-range 18650 charger.
Hardly anyone just "refills" tanks anymore. Luddite.![]()
This "tank expiration" thing is all new to me... and I (along with former "we")The point was THE TANK IS OLD...therefore, ego, thus....YOU MUST EXCHANGE. Then refill for anther X years. Easy solution.
