Glad this day is almost over!

Don't know what time the power came back on cause we had to rush my dh to the ER with pain from a kidney stone that came on like gangbusters......he actually was on the tennis court this morning and felt fine, then came home, saw that the power was out, so wanted to go to Sam's Club......well we didn't.......so, we're home now from the hospital; small stone has passed and I'm going to pass out early tonight! Was really scared cause he is a heart patient! Thank God this turned out the way it did!!!

Yikes ! Every time someone mentions those I feel pain !
I have the special privilege of making those suckers and they usually involve a tube in my back into a kidney for a while.
Your poor DH ! So very glad he is ok now !

Yep, he needs to drink more water and have been telling him this for quite awhile, but now, he's convinced.
I want to know what it is exactly that causes these horrendous things......Google, here I come!

So glad he's okay, Gracie. If he takes in a lot of calcium, that can be a culprit, too. That's what caused mine many years ago. Extremely painful when they move. Probably even worse for a guy, but I know I was in extreme pain AND sick. Just glad you are both safe and home. Rest up. That probably drained you BOTH...

DH doesn't take supplemental calcium, so I don't think that's the culprit.
Got busy and still have to google...but don't think I'll be doing it tonight, cause I'm starting to feel a bit drained.

Really, the best you can do is drink a ton and don't put off going to the restroom to get rid of it
