    Good morning Dale :)

Well, I'll get something today, Fran. Probably no absolute answers, but, perhaps, more pieces to the puzzle. Thank you. I feel like I can use all the help I can get. Have to wait until 3:15 for appointment, then who knows how long to actually see him??? I am nervous, for sure, but I can't change a thing.. But I can hope!!
(((Hugs))) That's a long time to have to wait:(

Sending pleasant Friday wishes to everybody!

    ..........

    Reading back a bit...
Thinking positive thoughts for you, Kat! We've all been on the dark side
of The Waiting Game and it's not at all fun. I'm sure you'll keep us posted.

    ..........

Just a series of relatively annoying life's little moments the last few days.

Had to pull out the "lawyer card" with the telephone company. I was told THREE
times the job was prioritized as a medical need. Saturday night, at 10:51pm, I
get a phone call from them (10:51 PM!!!) to discuss the problem. Anyway,
fast-forward to Monday and I'm told for the FOURTH time it is being prioritized.
That was it. The call had me and FOUR "higher-ups" on the line all at the same
time. It was repaired within 2 hours after that call.

(All) The fridge lights stopped working, and it really is dark in there without them.
So, Sears came out Tuesday to fix. It was still under the 3-year extended
warranty (@AttyPops) so it did not "cost" anything. Warranty was $215. Get this:
to replace a combo circuit-board w/ 5 LEDs... $326 (without warranty). It took
him about 4 minutes to do the work. $100 service call, $120/hr (or any part of
an hour) labour, $106 for the part.

I went for an overdue eye exam yesterday. (And they still use the drops for
dilation... said the non-drop method is "nowhere near as good"... FYI.) Vision
and dental are not part of my ACA plan, which is kind of normal, I guess.
Anyway... 4 years ago it was $167. THIS visit: $364. For some unknown
reason, they are submitting $60 to my provider. :: shrug :: But, yeah...
$364. ANYBODY else here pay that kind of price???
    ...Exam $207
    ...Refraction $40
    ...Ophthalmic $63
    ...Corneal Pachymetry $54
My next visit will ALSO be overdue. Infuriating.

And today is The Big Wait on that health care bill mess.

Rainy and soggy and dismal, so indoor chores.

    Will check in later!

Thank you, my Sweet Bear. We've missed you. I will keep you posted. Scared, but hopeful

How do places like "Lenses 'R' Us" give you an eye exam AND two
    pair of glasses for $99???
Well, they give you plastic lenses and only a few frame choices. Their eye exam doesn't check what your doctor checks.

What different frames? Add 50 bucks (or whatever).
Want scratch resistance coating? (plastic scratches if you just look at it funny)...add 50 bucks.
Want composite lenses (better form of plastic)...add 75 or 100 bucks.
Want the 2nd pair tinted for sunglasses? 30 bucks extra but not if it's plastic and bifocal...so you have to upgrade to one of the other options...

    Etc.

Out the door price for bi-focal and frame you like, with tinted 2nd pair...300 ish.
