Our high is supposed to be 48.
High of 45 here today.

We got to 58 yesterday! I cut the back lawn for what I'm guessing is the last time this year. Was great. I timed it just right. Nice to have modern weather forecasting to help plan stuff like that.

Time to put the snow plow and chains on the lawn tractor.

Yeah, some people just don't know any better.
The same "trash", yesterday, blew his entire back yard harvest out into the town-owned
green space that runs along the rear of the neighborhood homes. The result is about 80
feet long by 2-3 feet high.

I thought MAYBE he was then going to use his nuclear-powered rider to mulch them all up
a bit. Nope. (And the town is done for the year with upkeep.)

Prevailing winds will dictate they end up in MY back yard.

I've been here since 1977 and have never - ever - seen ANYBODY use that green space as
a compost pile location.

I used a social media "app" (nextdoor dot com) to post a passive-aggressive query out to
folks who belong to the surrounding "community". 16 hours and nobody has replied. My
knee-jerk takeaway is that I'm being a difficult curmudgeonly poopyhead and they are
afraid to tell me.

Whatever. I also sent a note to Town Code enforcement... and OOOPS... I also mentioned
that same person uses that town property to ride dirt/mini bike/cycle. THAT is specifically
called out in The Code.

Grrr.

And GOOD MORNING salutations sent out to all who see this! :)

..........

Christmas tree all fluffed out and now ready for application of lighting.

..........

Cleaned out all the gutters and downspouts except the very front yesterday.
Predicted high of 60 on Tuesday, so that one can wait.

PS... the "app" does not show our actual home address. Plus, I purposely do NOT use my
real name on ANY social media... eg: FaceBook, etc. That is just an invitation for stalking
and/or unwanted communications.

And send them to Code? I'm not even SURE it's against code.

What I *am* sure of is that it's not The Right Thing To Do. And if the
town just shrugs it off, then NEXT Fall, I will also take the easy way out.
I mentioned THAT in my eMail. It's a town-owned tree that makes much
work for me at leaf-drop time... so I should just return the spoils BACK
to the town... right??? (It's located about 3 feet OFF my property, but
the wind has a different agenda.)
