G'mornin, snails...

It's uncool for weather apps to lie about impending snow.

Not good, not good, not good.
Merlin has cancer.
He is scheduled for surgery Friday morning to remove it and they will also run a histopathology to see if it is a metastatic type or not.

Hello credit card.

Oh noes, (((classy))) (((merlin))) (((classy & merlin)))...positive & optimistic vibes being broadcast your way!

Sending Merlin (((HUGS and SNUGGLES))). Be brave and strong for (((Mom))).

I'm glad it's in a spot where it's accessible AND they feel the surgery
will/could help.

Keep us informed about how the procedure and convalescence go!
(Like we'd let you forget to tell us.)

Sending "Good Morning" thoughts out to everybody!

..........

Guess I'll finish the cards (net reduction of "2" this year) and
at least START the gift wrapping.

..........

Took the AM dose of Chantix on Monday, but that was it.
The main side effect of increased anxiety was the deciding
factor. This is not the right time of year for it... too much
to do in the next couple of weeks. Feeling like that was just
making everything a chore and un-fun. So, it was 7 days.

Stomach was also feeling "off" constantly.

And GETTING to sleep was troublesome.

My plan is to start again after January 1st.

..........

Glad the snow forecasted for overnight did not happen. But
they're still saying (on TV, not the 'net) 4 to 12 inches possible
in areas close-by through Friday. As long as I can get to and
from Dad's later today, happiness will ensue.

Good morning CuteCaringCharmingCherished @SilverBear

Hope the Chantix eventually helps. Helped one friend of mine, but not some others. The one it helped said it made her smokes taste like dog dirt, but she smoked that whole week til she had to stop according to instructions. That was 9 or 10 years ago and she is still smoke free! :)

Wood duty is slower than it used to be. My knee doesn't care for carrying weight up stairs and I have to be kind to my knee. But it gets done anyway and I'm well stocked once again.

My 37 of this morning has dropped to 31.

Do you use a wood-bundle carrier "strap"? Have DH rig a pulley cable maybe?
That way, you don't have to carry the weight up stairs while bending or standing on the knee.... (But you have to mess with a pulley system.)
My wood blunder is my arms.Keeps the weight down. Pulleys are more trouble than I want. Good ol simple way.

there's got to be an easier way :(
Yup. Hubs always volunteers to take the screen out of end porch window and throw it in for me. I nixed that idea a few years back when he first did it. Makes an awful mess and it's much harder on my back bending over to pick up the wood and then clean up the mess.

Hello Snails! It's been a long time since I've visited. I hope everyone is doing well, despite weather, knees, and other assorted issues.

I'm sorry to hear about Merlin, but hope that the quality of life endures for him.

I stopped in to check out equipment. My years old stuff is now giving up the ghost (sigh). I shouldn't be surprised by how much has changed both around here, but in the industry as well....but I am  Temperature control, huh? So it's time to do some reading...

It seems that things have slowed down a bit on ECF (and the site looks completely different as well).

Hopefully I will catch up with some of you sooner or later, and I'll be sending you all positive vibes in the meantime.
