The keyboard that came with the PC is great! Was not sure I'd like
wireless, but it's working flawlessly. And it's one with the very flat
keys and silent. The mouse, though, has GOT to go. Tiny, low
profile, and no extra buttons. Guess my paws are too large and
require something more substantial (and functional). ( )

Speaking of keyboards and mice... Upgraded to a nice beefy Logitech
wireless mouse. I noticed I was making a lot of typing errors and
determined that the stock HP keyboard was not exactly full-size, so,
what the hell... upgraded it to an illuminated Logitech wireless. (Was
also getting random 0s popping up frequently.) Now scoping out
what's available for wireless headphones, but that's far from important.

That sounds a but sketchy, but I'll let it slide. This time.

So I just buy one and plug it into any USB port ?

Shopping with Katya advice. Take everything you've got, laptop, mouse, whatever, go to BestBuy, get in line for Geek Squad, and play dumb. Works for me every time. "I need help, my laptop is not working right--what do I need to buy, if anything, to make it work again, and how and what do I plug into what?"

BTW, did you try cleaning your laptop's keyboard--gently? Just a thought...

Buy a USB keyboard, Classy, as long as you have an open USB port. Target may have it cheaper. Like I said, shop online first and check prices.

It would be nice to check if the current one works first though, so you can make sure you're set, and you like the result (test run).
