Going back to yesterday's conversation. Pre-born gender-reveals are fun. However, gender-reveals on the internet can be hilarious. Such a massive shift of assumptions and attitudes. I remember having difficulty making those shifts while reading fiction, until I got tuned into the subtle nuances. And does it really even matter?

    Good morning, all.

Fran, are you sure that is all you are qualified for? I get that much, with no savings or investments. Plugged into all the programs available, I am living comfortably, except for basic travel to see relatives. The biggest pain is being unable to visit my children, in Missouri and California.
Yes,I'm sure that's it on the SS. I can only collect on hubs.

careful though - it might be better to get a new start by selling
I don't know yet if I have that option. Medicaid may have a lien on the house. Tax collector should be at the town hall tomorrow.

The house has been paid for quite awhile ago. My thoughts are giving Heather rental with option to buy if there are no liens.

We're not even close to MAGA, and we're heading in the OPPOSITE direction. All the prosperity is gone, replaced with fake COLA numbers, fake inflation numbers, reverse-mortgages and liens on assets with crappy insurance that guarantees failure for all but the rich.

I get that times change. But this anti-social-program winger mentality is killing all but the most-upper classes. It's a rigged system designed to stop Joe-average from accumulating wealth.

    P.S.
    Good morning snails.

the lien shouldn't be all that much. i assume medicaid picks up only the 20% medicare does not pay. even with a lien there should not be a problem as long as heather realizes it needs to be paid. what worries me is timing. if, by chance and we all are no longer teenagers, you should get sick and medicaid picks up the tab then your equity can be used up in a hurry.

I wish I had some of that "rejuvenation"....I'm getting too old for this crap.

So we "only" got about 6 inches of snow so far, but it's real fine stuff and blows and drifts like crazy. So due to having existing "ridges" along the driveway, I had probably a foot of snow in many places, and at least 6 inches in others. Grrrr. That kind of thing starts to exceed the capacity of my little mower's ability to plow. (smaller tires and blade). Was heck. Took an hour and almost 1/2 a tank of gas. Lucky I have enough gas in the can for another short plow tonight.

Took about an hour. Couldn't feel one finger very well. Came in and took a hot shower to warm up. Brrrr.

NOW/NEXT comes the sub-zero temps and "arctic air-mass" fun. Fingers crossed!

Yes I haven't checked the paperwork but I'm sure Medicare pays the bulk. It would be awhile.I have a .... load of stuff to do something with before I even think of moving. Before next winter rolls around and that's for sure.
