Good morning, Frannie, Tibs and MM :)
Day 3, still blurry, but no pain. See doc at 1:40. Seeing halos around lights, too. Definitely not what I expected. But, so happy to be pain free. I imagine the corneal scratch set me back several days.
Pain free is a big plus.

Good morning lovely and handsome Snails Tibs MM Fran and Kat :)

Glad you’re pain free this morning Kat, at least that was quick :thumb:
As soon as he put the anesthetic drop in my eye, the pain left. Now, just kind of a dull ache and headache from squinting and keeping eye closed when it's tired. But the horrific pain is gone. And I just remembered, put on the wraparound sunglasses to help with glare....duh!!! :w00t:

Good morning Tibs, Fran, Kat, Dale & MM

Oh Kat, so sorry you're going through this with your eye!!!
Good morning, Gracie.....me too!!!!!!! Thought it was gonna be a breeze, but stuff happens. Whatcha gonna do but get through it as best you can. I would really like to have the doctor who treated my scratch do the other eye, but I don't know how to approach them about that. He is young, knowledgeable and very sure of himself. I didn't like him at first, but I came to realize he is just confident in his abilities and he had me laughing and was very empathetic with regards to the size and PAIN from the scratch. What to do?

and that means stop squinting and cover that eye! ;)

as to doctor - as far as i know that's always the patient's choice ;)
They don't patch them anymore, Tibs. They use medicine and put in a clear contact for protection. No need to cover or not use the eye, except if things are too bright, put on the dark sunglasses. The Roy Orbison kind!

I know I can request the other doctor. They work for us, not the other way around. But my doctor has an excellent reputation, I REALLY like him, as a person, but, now am afraid to have him do the other eye, though I doubt he would make the same mistake. Kind of like I'm gun shy, ya know?
