Regarding teh kittehs...there's gotta be a way to keep LevLev from eating Zuzu's dry food. What, oh what, have I done wrong that makes me think she's not feeling confident about going to her designated eating spot unless it's late afternoon wet food feeding? *SIGH* LevLev, why aren't you letting ME be the one who controls food/feedings?

We're good here. With family at son's home and short of leaving the state, we're as safe as possible. There are 8 of us, with plenty of everything we need.

Just wonder what we'll go home to, but that's secondary to our safety,
We're more concerned about the wind than flooding.

Will check back when able.

We're just about done here....have a few last minute things to tuck away outside later on and then we're ready.

We met with our neighbors and we have a tentative plan as long we can stay voluntary evac. No news to the contrary right now, but keeping an ear out for that. They have a generator and two freezers, so that's all good. Made the last trip to the store to get C cells for weather radio and some more non-perishables.

I just dread the wind.......last hurricane back in '04, I stayed in the 'safe room' with our dog Shaka with pillows over my head cause the sound was horrendous and this hurricane sounds like it's going to be a repeat or even worse than '04.

Miraculously, the only damage we sustained back then were some fallen tree limbs.....

OK.....break over and have to get some other stuff done.
