made it back home from visiting the boy and both bils have also reached their destination

It's proofing now (1hr). Amazon didn't deliver the flour until late. It should be in the oven by 7:30pm. Not much to it. What could go wrong?

It's with a very heavy heart that I post this:
I called Gracie about 45 minutes ago, to get an update on how Peter did last week with the liver cancer treatments. I knew they were both optimistic about them, and I shared those thoughts, too. However, the 1st words she could barely get out of her mouth were, "He's gone, Jan".
At about 2:30AM this morning he was in excrutiating pain and had to be rushed to the hospital. He needed emergency surgey, and it didn't go well. Quite a few immediate family members are with her at home now, and I'm sure will stay with her as long as she'll allow them to. This was a big shock to all of them.
I asked if she'd like me to let people on the Lounge Lizards thread know what's happened, and she agreed. She asked if I'd also post it on the Snails thread for her, too.
I'm sure any/all good thoughts, prayers, etc. would be appreciated. She's totally heartbroken, and it's going to be a huge adjustment for her...to be without him. They were married for almost 55 years, and I know they were still each other's best friend and very much in love.
