@AttyPops, you probably know this already, the Artemis 1 splashdown will happen off the Baja Coast near Guadalupe Island. It's targeted for 10:39am CST (11:39am EST) on Sunday, Dec. 11.

Coverage starts on the NASA channel about an hour before splashdown. If you don't have the NASA channel they stream it live on their YouTube channel and via the NASA Live site.

There is tons of excellent Artemis info on the NASA Artemis blog page.
The NASA Artemis I Reference Guide is fantastic (it's a 6.6MB PDF). Totally worth the download.

NASA has been posting awesome photos and videos throughout the mission on their Flickr page and also in the NASA Image and Video Library.

Looking forward to it. :) (I was thinking it was on Saturday for some reason, Friday...but it's Sunday/today for splashdown.) Trying to fit it into my schedule. If not, I'll see the replay.

Did you check out how they do the recovery with the ship? Pretty cool...sink the ship a bit, no need to hoist it way up.
Thanks for the great links, SMT. I'll download that PDF. :)

lol, it is. And I'm freaking awake. There's a nap in my future, I can tell. I SHOULD have a busy day today, I still haven't gotten the plow+chains on the lawn tractor, and there's plenty of errands and chores to do. But I'll have to work a nap in somehow.

Good morning snails.

P.S. the blog has it on:
The orion spacecraft is on its last full day in space with splashdown off the Baja Coast near Guadalupe Island targeted for 11:39 a.m. CST (12:39 p.m. EST) on Sunday, Dec. 11.
Why the hour offset, IDK...locality DST settings?

    No you can't
    Morning Atty.

    Where are all the snails?

The other day I notice someone tried breaking one of my E-bike locks - hit it half dozen times by the locking mechanism. - though it was a cheap lock don't know how it held-up. Guy must have been a novice all the crooks are now using battery powered grinders. Within seconds it cuts 99% of all locks.

No lock can stop a crook who wants any bike. Only slow them down some what, The newer locks that came out this year claim to prevent thief (which is a lie) are running $300.00. My smaller E-bike cost only $250.00 the newer one I built a little over $300.00. In my thinking buying a lock at $300.00 just not worth the added expense when its not a one hundred percent preventable thief.

Think I came-up with a fix, Your thoughts would be welcome.

    1. Batteries come with me when shopping. (no problem been doing this all along)
    2. Let the air out of tire then refill with battery air pump. (No problem I have a pump already)
    3. Remove chain - no peddle power available.
    4. Remove and take the seat with me.

Use the smaller bike for shopping, With a combination of above I'm thinking no crook would try to steal a bike with flat tire and no means of powering the bike.

Use three or more cheaper locks. They'll (most of them) avoid it because they're lazy thieves to begin with. Having to cut 3 locks may be "too much work" for them. Also they want to be quick so they don't get caught, 3 locks takes 3x the time for them.

Because I’m working again, I’m tired and it’s time for both kids to help ... they’re both in their 30’s!

Good evening snails. Ham fried rice tonight.
thx for that explanation. I thought we were going to have to get Pepper's Famous Christmas Charity involved in this matter because no one I know is going hungry on Pepper's watch.
