We (M$ tech and I) did that, but the F12 something-or-other "repair Win10" thing
would not work. That installation HAD to be obliterated, but the HD was locked
for any changes. The only option was a "clean install". I stared at the "OK" button
for a while but just could NOT do it. I wanted my data/pictures/music/bookmarks/
email/favourites/etcetcetc to be "FOR SURE" recoverable.
So... took tower to geek place for file extractions and then revert to Win7. And
while I was there, he pulled the HD, hooked it up to a workbench and he could
see the directory where just about all my stuff lives (I have just about all of MY
files stored in 1 directory).
For some reason, though, it's going to take 2 or 3 days to accomplish it.
That's sort of OK, though. I have a lot to do around the house in prep for Big
Company on Saturday.
All I can think of is the Square One rebuilding of everything on the box. And
dealing with it with a slow DSL connection to do it.
..........
Good Morning (anyway) to everybody. I'll checkk in here between chores and
stuff. Need to leave by 13h00 to take Dad to his tests.
