Glucose last weekend was 353, and my A1C is 9.6. I wouldn't have caught it as quickly had I not visited the E.R. with a kidney stone. I did find out that my family has a genetic predisposition for the diabeetus.

Hang in there Jimbo, I know it's depressing but it will be OK. I know you're able to overcome this. Not as bad as it sounds and way more common than people know.

Well, you know, I was going to crawl under a rock and wait out the holidays because I'm just not feeling it. But, as I've been reading FB and the Snail thread, I realized that I may not be in the BEST of shape to enjoy the holiday, I can still share the joy of my friends and smile as I see there is so much to be grateful for. I'm alive. I have a roof over my head, food in my stomach and people who love me. I am warm and blessed with a healthy little dog who I adore. So, Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays or however you wish to say it!! May your day be joyful and fun. Or quiet and peaceful. However you celebrate is fine. Have a wonderful day, Snails!
