Went to Christmas eve service with Mom last night- thought of Tibs (and thus everyone) when they sang the first verse of silent night in German.

...Clare got all over-stimulated with bows and wrapping paper.
She did an "energy dash" into an extension cord and pulled a
ceramic tree down. CFL bulb broke, tree made a little ding
in an end table. An omen of things-to-come??? We'll find out.
Now, off to Dad's. (The sauce is smelling very good!)

Enjoy,tib Dinner done here too and mess cleaned up. I'm relaxing now too. Didn't get a stick of firewood today so I know what I'll be doing tomorrow.

I am home and beat - 
My Mom did all she could to avoid saying that the eggnog pie was good.
Started with an eyeroll at the very mention of it...
Got some...ate part of it and walked away from it.
She did come back and finish it later - and wanted me to leave a little while we were packing up stuff.
(She drinks eggnog every evening and that is why the pie was made)
And the pie was awesome !

Wow. That does sound like a tiring event.
Glad the pie was good and that everyone else enjoyed it.
My/Our event went well. People were mostly over the colds and flu they all had (and that I've so far avoided). People and pets were all good and dinner was tasty too.
Back home now.

A nice visit with the "in-laws". Small group, so it worked out very nicely. At home with the baby girl and some football...just relaxing.
