So, I an NOT a shining example of what's wrong with ACA.

yes, you are ;) because it shows how badly thought-out this whole thing was. and no, i'm not faulting you, bear! you paid into the system plenty of years; you are entitled to what's being offered to you!

Guess I'm just saying "they" couldn't possibly account for every possible
permutation of the participants... unless they made some sweeping
one-size-fits-all rule. Just as an example:

"You will pay x% of your income toward ACA and you will get the same
coverage as everybody else in the country."

One sentence. Not 1000s of pages of this, that and the other thing. (Which
still didn't cover my situation.)

But I'd remain be in the position to control my taxable income... guess I
cannot shake that "shining example" label!!! :) Just call me an efficient
planner.

Now... out to the leaves!

After the 8am MD appointment tomorrow (what *WAS* I thinking...
8-freaking-o'clock ), I'm stopping to pay some love to this kitty
who has a LOT of local FB fans:

A Cat Named Spirit | Facebook

The lady has spent literally 1000s of $ for her rehab and I've been
following the saga. If the "owner" allows pics, I'll take a few. I'm
looking forward to it! :)

    I may have been thinking:

"First appointment of the day = no waiting".

Let's see how that works out.

I plan to tell the doc that if I ever have to pay full shot for these 4 (or 6)-month
social visits (which is what they are... NOTHING is bothering me... WHY am I
even going?), then I'll only be seeing him when I'm writhing on the floor in agony.
