I can hear it now: "I remember, back in '17, when that biggest ever Hurricane Irma came though. Well...I high-tailed it outta there 2 days before it hit...and the TRAFFIC! OMG, the traffic. You haven't lived until you've been through a state-wide evacuation, kiddies. And then my brother....."

Charge the phone, drive carefully, take pics/video/notes.

Yeah, and Trump (to his credit) isn't going to go into a budget freeze/shutdown with two major hurricanes to clean up after. And the Republicans are crying foul, that he's betraying them. But really, I mean, if you can't support FEMA at least conceptually, what the hell is the matter with some people, eh? I mean there's dysfunction and then there's stupid.

Debt ceiling raised, like it or not. Welcome to disaster funding 101. And climate change.
