have no idea what's up or down at this point. i am going to try and contact my real estate agent today and find out if my condo has any electricity or if it was flooded. i'm figuring it wasn't flooded based on the direction the hurricane took. i'm in the mountains of western carolina staying with my brother using a computer that wasn't made for me to operate.

It was hell getting here. It took almost 24 hours of driving to go 800 miles. I must have hit the brakes 10,000 times... my foot is worn out, along with the rest of my body.

Glad you're safe, Pepper. sounds like a nasty drive. I'd wait a day or so to drive back....

Tibs, the k-12 schools are mostly closed, but as of right now the university is open. We'll see what happens as the winds pick up this afternoon. With the downgrade to a TS, we are even more likely to have only tropical depression conditions ( a few inches of rain and sustained winds <35mph). we'll see.

    Thanks, Kat...

That path switch is a kick in the pants. My parents were on vacation this weekend, just a few hours away, and I feel bad for telling my dad that the path of the hurricane wasn't going to affect his house in FL...can't help but have the slightest feeling that I totally jinxed it for everyone.

    Hello, Mouth...I'm Foot.
