My wife and I picked up a 50cc ATV for our 8, soon to be 9 year old nephew. A friend had it for sale for $50. It needs a starter solenoid, but otherwise everything works. Price was cheap since it's used and a generic Chinese brand sold and serviced by a local dealer. I'd be leery of buying such a toy for a kid his age, but his Dad lets him cut the grass using a Kabota zero turn mower and I've seen the video where he's working with his Dad (who's a prime contractor) on a construction site and driving a front end loader/backhoe moving sand from a pile to where it's needed.

At his age all I was allowed to drive was a bicycle and a gasoline push mower. :)

Good Morning to everybody here.

..........

Taking Dad to his MD appointment today. One item on the agenda:
a discussion about that $15 "referral fee". Dad said yesterday that
he'd prefer no "scene". (He knows me so well!) THAT will be
completely up to the doctor. I will begin "calm and rational". Where
it goes from there... well, as I said.

..........

Busy day, so will wait on the "phone system - to - cell" sync experiment.

..........

( :( morning #5 )

The insurance companies don't pay the doctors well enough, but require tons of paperwork and crap. So they have to make their money somehow.

$15 isn't that out of line, if he can afford it, just pay it. :2c:
Either that, or the doc is going to order a bunch of tests...just to be safe, you understand. Wink wink.

I'm going to remain in a decent mood... today, here and now... and postpone my
reply to your words above ^ . :)

Keep in mind: *HE* did not do the work for the referral. His RECEPTIONIST did.

Oh... and "just paying it" is what they COUNT on. I can tell you what they do
NOT count on... people like me.

OK... now stepping away. :)

Good late morning, Snails.

Was up early and dh and I decided to buy a new fridge. It was beyond time, and now we won't have to eat our meals out, and not rely on pbutter/jelly or cheese sandwiches....we didn't re-stock after Irma cause the fridge sustained some odor.....nothing worse than that.... Bought warranty w/hurricane insurance! They will replace fridge and $350 worth of meats if things go awry.
