Well, looks like the rain is going to let up for a few days this week. :)
Cold, though. Highs in the 40's, lows below freezing. That time of year when the final "kill off" of the annual plants happens and the rest of the leaves drop. And a final grass cutting/mulching operation.

Soon it will be time to switch the lawn tractor from mower-mode to plow mode. Which reminds me, I should charge the battery just to make sure it's in tip-top shape for the cold. If you have batteries...car, mower, generator, whatever, charge em up...it's that charge that stops them from going bad in the cold weather, from what I read. IDK why, but that's how it works.

G'mornin, snails...

High of almost 80°F at some point this weekend and now we're back to Brrr. Ermahgerd, make up your mind!

Also, heated seats in the car is huge...one of the few technological "advantages" that has a rightful place in vehicles; which, by the obvious way, should not be extensions of one's mobile device.

W00h00, little Monday morning rant out of the way! ;)

more yard work today - sure could use that bear :(
Nope! Still more to do around here, but I am absolutely enjoying the long-awaited
break in 45-50 bags of leaves from years past. That ONE tree being gone is making
all the difference. 17 (I think) last year, 7 so far this year. :)

..........

Good "Muddy Monday" to everybody. In my morning haze, while listening to the
local weather, I believe it was said over 6" of rain in the last 10 days. We had
hours-long lightning storms last night (which Clare does NOT like).

..........

No Sheba this morning, and day 2 with no Oreo. Nothing out of the ordinary, but
I always wonder where they are when not waiting for their food. And their little
heated kitty-hut is out and waiting for occupancy.

..........

Just one minor rant. I raked the back yard (again) on Saturday, and even went a
couple feet over the property line. It was VERY well-delineated given all the leaves.
The old-lady-grandson comes out (FINALLY) with his big ol' riding mower (nuclear-
powered, by the way) with the discharge pointing OFF his property for the first few
passes. Put all those chopped-up leaves on MY side. So, with him still out there, I
went out with a rake and put them all BACK on HIS side... flinging wildly and much
disdain, along with a few :glare:s. He needs a crash course on "good neighbor policy".

..........

Still no word on the bathroom floor.
