It will take me a week to digest that. I guess I have to figure out what a client is first.

I'm an idiot, Atty, So just bear with me.
You are anything but that, Tweety.

The "client" runs on YOUR computer. It talks to the SERVER (the web, the email systems that are "out there")...like the email system at google (gmail) or at UC, or wherever.

You start it up (and press "go get mail"...or it's automatic when you start it usually) and then it goes out, checks all your email accounts, downloads any messages, and then you have them displayed.

Your outlook client does that too. So IDK where your "outlook email" is at, but maybe tweety@microsoft.com or whatever it is you're referring to.

The @servername thing is where the server is at, the xxxxxx before the email address is the username: username@servername.xxx (really a domain but...)

Regardless, you can probably just ignore that Thunderbird exists and use outlook if you wish. And it should have
Tweety@UC.xx and Tweet@Gmail.com and Tweety@microsoft.com or whatever the email addresses really are all in the ONE CLIENT called OUTLOOK.

In short, you should be able to use that one client for all your personal email addresses. I think. If it's what I think it is.

Hmmm. I think I have my Outlook because I bought Microsoft Office--needed it for work, but my Outlook email is not MS--it's cox.net (my Internet provider). I have a separate MS login (password).

So my emails are: Outlook--Tweety12@cox. cxm; Gmail--Tweety123@gmail.cxm.; Work--Tweet1234@ucx.edu.

They are all there, easily accessible, always ready.

Good morning, Snails! Coffee?

Sure hope they did a good job @SilverBear . So sorry you weren't dressed for the occasion!! Was you in yer jammies?:D
bear in jammies at 8am?!

The floor is so much better now than the carpeting (which gave way to
old asbestos tiles after I tore up the carpet) is history. It's done, finally. :)

Not "jammies"... old sweatpants and sweatshirt. Winter bum-around-
the-house attire.

..........

08h30 MD appointment. Grr. I know he's going to press the Chantix
trial this time. But I'll try to derail with the knee (now non-)thing
(appointment for THAT on the 20th) and the sweating thing. I really
do NOT want to even TRY the Chantix... Heard too many not very nice
things about it.

..........

Pleasant Friday to everyone. Back later!
