So pay attention to the energy-ratings Tibs!!! I know your eyes are glossing over....
Then again, maybe it doesn't matter so much as long as you  it so much! Love-factor over those 15 years counts too!

10 years from now they'll probably have built in robots that deliver the contents to you in the other room. And they'll shop for you, too.

I don't think refrigerators are really @jimbodaddy74 's specialty, but I want to confirm:

Some of the energy waste that happens with a refrigerator over time is probably due to coolant loss/inefficiency...and that might not be reflected in the ratings. So a NEW fridge rated at ____ might perform, but an old one might be 2 x more. So even if the old and the new ones were rated the same you MIGHT get some savings out of the new one. Not sure here.

Taking advantage of Wellness reimbursement before year's end, I bought an Apple Watch last night. It's covered as a health/fitness tool and the plan is to use it as such...
Brilliant design and marketing, getting health-spending incentives like that to help purchase an Apple-product.

You're in the ballpark. Even though the refrigerant loop is considered a "sealed" system, refrigerant can leak out through the seals as they wear over time. Dirty condenser/evaporator coils are another thing that affects efficiency. When was the last time any of us pulled our fridges out and cleaned the condenser coil?

I use 29 or 28 g Kanthal.
Ahhh! The lowest I have left is 30 ga left. But I'll try it. ;) VV is handy. I can maybe get 6 wraps in there without a short, to make up for the lost surface area. I'll see. Maybe just go with 5...

Thanks Jimbo.
Yeah, although I HAVE actually vacuumed out the "fins" before, it's few and far between. Those of you with pets....good idea. I've seen a lot of pet-hair on people's condenser coils (particularly those that have them on underside).

Nothing wrong with using 30 gauge. That's what I usually use.

Cool Fran. I knew I could count on you to lift my spirits. ;)

Uh...what ohms do you usually end up at? What about #wraps and what watts you vape at? (nosey)
